Flooding & climate change: talk

March 17, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

From Devon Live:

Talk highlights the risks of climate change

After a month of record rainfall, and unprecedented flooding, Ewan Woodley will be heading to Tiverton to explain the risks of climate change, and its impact on our everyday lives.

Dr Woodley, Senior Lecturer in Geography at Exeter University, has, with Dr Stewart Barr, worked with local community groups in Dulverton, Crediton and along the Exe Estuary, identifying and discussing the causes and risks of extreme weather events, as well as the resultant problems, particularly severe flooding; and encouraging people to show greater resilience to future events.
