There have been no major storms this year until the end of October; storm Ciaran hit on the evening of 1st of November and swiftly followed the previous named storm which had had little effect on Sidmouth.
As the BMP is now, hopefully, about to enter a testing phase the following information is of importance.
On the evening of 1st November the evening high tide was at 7.21 pm
On 2nd November the first high tide was at 7.33 am
