Of course there are many national issues which affect Sidmouth in the same way as they affect everywhere else, but on this page we are trying to address those which are of particular importance to Sidmouth and which may be difficult to track down.

Government Departments which have particular relevance to what we want for Sidmouth are
DCMS ( The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) which also has tourism as an important consideration, see its 2019 plan here ;
BEIS ( The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) which includes Tourism and Climate Change initiatives;
the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, which is pretty self explanatory; and
DEFRA ( The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) which wants to know our views, before Sept 2019 on invasive species such as Himalayan Balsam!
