Alexandria Industrial Estate as an alternative to the controversial Sidford Business Park

Today, we had the first of three days of the hearing into building an industrial estate on the outskirts of Sidmouth:

The point is, however, that we already have an industrial estate in Sidmouth – which has plenty of scope for expansion AND clear potential for better access from the main road ….. if only we could overcome the problem of the ‘ransom strip’. Unless the person who owns the thin strip of land separating Bulverton Road from the current industrial estate will sell at a reasonable price the town is prevented from taking advantage of the potential, as mapped out by Vision Group member Graham Cooper in his website:
