These are very difficult times for businesses – especially the hospitality business.
So when many are jumping in to help out over half-term, it’s quite something:

The Gingerbread house cafe is among many Devon establishments helping children get free meals over the holidays. Owners Chris and Kerry said: “Being parents ourselves we don’t believe any child should be hungry at any time”
They’re now offering a free takeaway lunch for children which includes a sandwich, packet of crisps, piece of fruit and juice all throughout half term. People in the local community are now donating for the cost of the owners doing this…
This resulted in Marcus Rashford acknowledging their kindness by retweeting a BBC News article about the cafe.
