Climate Change

What is climate change?

Scientists tell us that the burning of fossil fuels, the rise in human population and the excessive consumption of finite resources are causing changes to the Earth’s atmosphere and its ability to sustain life.  These changes are producing more extreme weather patterns and an overall warming up of the Earth. This in turn potentially endangers food production and causes catastrophic natural events (landslides, flooding, tornadoes) around the globe.

We share these concerns and want to promote discussion and debate, as well as action, on increasing local resilience and our ability to cope with these changes long term, as well as reducing our dependence on fossil fuels to power every day life.
