The new Arts and Culture East Devon (ACED) website launches

Last month, the latest local art project was unveiled:
Titled “A Sidmouth Map,” this abstract artwork visually represents Sidmouth’s thriving art and cultural scene. With its intricate web of interconnected lines, vibrant colours, and captivating shapes, the artwork stands as a remarkable piece in its own right. Renowned East Devon-based artist printmaker Emma Molony, known as @emmamolonyprintmaker, created the original 12-layer screen print that served as the basis for this extraordinary creation. Emma was commissioned to explore Sidmouth’s diverse art, conservation and cultural organisations by Sidmouth School of Art in early 2022. Her research produced a multi-layered map depicting a wide range of organisations, events, funding bodies, community/green spaces and nature/conservation groups, with lines showing the connections between them.
