And, as the Herald reports, most people, both businesses and clients, are welcoming the easing:

Although, as the same piece says, some are still not keen to step into town – but even ‘younger people’ don’t want to hit the social circuit. At least just yet, according to the Stylist magazine:

As pubs reopen and people across the UK ease out of lockdown, it feels strange to be taking things at your own pace – especially when the definition of what’s ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ is becoming increasingly blurred…

Lockdown eases: I don’t want to go to a pub – why do I have FOMO?

.

Of course, such ‘personal decisions’ have a wider impact – and not just on public health.

More people are heading to the West Country for a break:

And hopefully, they will make ‘responsible tourists’:

With a bit of helpful advice for returning customers:

Customers returning to a popular village pub have been given a very Devon welcome – with farmers told to stay a pig apart. Barmaid Jackie, of the Ley Arms near Kenn, is proving an online hit with her unmistakable Devonian accent and warm-hearted safety advice.

Which is basically the message from the chair of the Town Council:

Ultimately, though, it’s about convincing locals and visitors that things are safe:
