Traffic Related Operations in Seaton and Sidmouth

Members of the Devon and Cornwall Police Special Constabulary and Rural East Devon Policing Teams have carried out two traffic related operations in the last week:
On the evening of 8th October 2019, police officers completed a road safety operation at Seaton. Words of advice were given for numerous traffic offences. A number of people were dealt with for speeding and a driver arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
On the evening of 10th October 2019, police officers completed a road safety operation in Sidmouth. A large number of drivers were informed of various road traffic offences. A vehicle and its 4 occupants were searched and drugs seized and 8 drivers were reported for excessive speed.
Speed kills people and every driver owes a duty of care to drive safely on our roads.
