Support your local pub! Enjoy a take-away!

Giving our pubs a fighting chance of riding out this storm.

What we should be advocating is ‘physical distancing and social solidarity’.

A plea from Cllr John Loudoun of Sidbury on the Nextdoor newsfeed (reproduced with permission):

.

Social distancing & supporting our pub

This is now the way we support our local pubs, with ours being the fabulous Red Lion in Sidbury. So tonight, rather than popping into the pub to eat fish and chips and drink pints of Doombar we’ve had a takeaway and socially distancing by eating and drinking at home.

The challenge facing us all is to keep doing this until the coronavirus restrictions are lifted. that way our pubs which are so crucial to communities like that in our village have a fighting chance of riding out this storm.

So, please try and do the same to continue to support your local pubs, cafes and restaurants.
