Sidmouth Cycling Campaign – Next Meeting

Our next campaign meeting will be on Monday night at 7pm on Zoom. If you’d like to join in please email me and I’ll send you a link.

Richard Foord MP

Speaking in Parliament recently, our MP urged the government to get behind local authorities in creating safe routes for pupils to get to school. He specifically mentioned the need for a cycle path from Sidford to Sidbury and the Otter Trail, which are both schemes that we’ve been supporting.

His speech was reported on the front page of the Sidmouth Herald: East Devon MP urges more action on safer school routes | Sidmouth Herald

Byes Foot/Cycle Bridge

The bridge over the Woolbrook, between Margarets Meadow and The Byes, will be closed next week for repairs. A diversion will be signed via Livonia Road, along the main Sidford Road and Lymebourne Lane.

East Devon Spring Classic Sportive

This Sportive will be taking place on Sunday 18 May. Starting from Budleigh Cricket Club and coming down Peak Hill into Sidmouth between 8.30 and 10am. Riders will then split, with some going to the Bowd and others going up Salcombe Hill towards Branscombe.
