“The festival is clearly designed to educate, enthuse and entertain with something for everyone.” [Chris Lockyear, town council chair]
.
It’s quite an achievement to put together a week-long festival with all-day activities.
Yes, it’s the first Sidmouth Biodiversity Festival!

And it was launched today – fronted by town council chair Chris Lockyear:
“The festival is clearly designed to educate, enthuse and entertain with something for everyone. The importance of biodiversity becomes ever more apparent and I am delighted that Sidmouth can play its part in this national conversation. We already have a rich diversity of wildlife in the Sid Valley and we must ensure we protect that. But I hope the festival will act as a catalyst for all of us to play a role in increasing it still further.”
