We do too, but it isn’t uniformly wonderful because Nature will have her way.
The Sidmouth Herald has passed on a warning from the Environment Agency not to swim off Sidmouth Beach today because of the likelihood of pollution from rainwater runoff. Western Beach/Jacob’s Ladder Beach is not included in the warning.
However, we have seen no warnings yet about the increased chance of cliff falls on Eastern Beach.
Locals all know that dry spells, followed by wet spells. followed by dry spells, spell trouble but tourists don’t. And some tourists refuse to take notice of all the warning signs. Perhaps if they read this from the Bridport and Lyme Regis News it might make them think twice? Rockfalls at Stonebarrow
