THE VISION GROUP OF SIDMOUTH IS LOOKING FOR NEW BLOOD AS ITS CHAIRMAN, SECRETARY AND TREASURER ALL PREPARE TO STAND DOWN

Volunteers are needed to take over the running of the group, which has helped to launch events including Sidmouth Science Festival.
The group was formed in 2005 by the town council and Sid Vale Association to make sure residents’ voices were heard during discussions into the Local Plan.
It has also helped Sidmouth to achieve transition town status, organised hustings and meetings and launched projects such as the monthly farmers market.
VGS chairman Dave Bramley said: “The two main aims of the VGS have been to incubate appropriate community projects and to provide a place where Sidmouthians could be informed about and debate community issues.”
