There was a meeting of the Beach Management Scheme Advisory Group meeting on the 22nd May at the Cellar Bar Kennaway House.
It was a presentation by the South West Coastal and Flooding team who are now responsible for getting the scheme done. This team was created as an amalgamation of the East Devon District Council Engineers and the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Engineers and took place in May last year.
Despite the team having been in place for a year, and the Engineer who is now fully in charge of Sidmouth BMS as his sole responsibility having been in post since Nov 2024, this was the first time we had met them.
