Wessex Community Housing Hub

Wessex Community Housing Hub is a new initiative giving local groups the support they need to develop innovative community-led solutions to housing. Stir to Action has partnered with Wessex Community Assets to deliver communications for the Hub.

To launch the Hub, we are holding six free events in March and April across Somerset and Dorset to introduce people to what the hub can offer, and how you can get involved. We’re looking forward to seeing local councillors, officers, and community partners in the room, alongside representatives from successful community housing groups who will be on hand to share their experiences of setting up their own community-led housing initiatives.

Community-led housing is a means to empower communities to meet their own housing needs. WCA has a dedicated Housing Adviser on-hand to help groups from formation, through to finding a site, planning, building and of course living. They have decades of expertise and experience and a mission to develop innovative housing solutions putting people at the heart of it all.
