New resources for key workers
We have launched ‘Cycles for Key Workers’, a single online map helping key workers find free and discounted cycles, equipment, and bike-sharing schemes as well as repair and maintenance services in their local area.We’re calling on the cycling industry, local authorities and professional bodies representing an occupation that the government has defined as key, to get involved and support the campaign to help key workers travel safely during the crisis. New software will help design more inclusive cycling routes This month saw the global launch of AutoTURN® which includes the ability to simulate the movement of different cycles to ensure cycling paths are fully inclusive. Put together by our Sustrans London design team and Transoft.
Cities that are designed for women are designed for everyoneCity planning through a gender lens: ‘We need to ensure that women are part of that conversation at every level. From planners, designers, community leaders, engineers and decision-makers’
