“The ‘Arts & Culture East Devon’ page looking at decarbonising events has illustrated what it’s all about with the Bicycle Ballet at last year’s Sea Fest on the Esplanade – brought to Sidmouth by the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign!” [comment to VGS]

Last summer, the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign organised quite a show on the Esplanade – and so, the Bicycle Ballet came to the Sidmouth SeaFest!
“The Bicycle Ballet company creates exhilarating outdoor dance performances on bikes, exploring the joyful highs and gritty lows of cycling.” [Bicycle Ballet website]
With lots of pre-publicity and after-the-show photos on the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign | Facebook pages.
The visuals are indeed impressive – so much so that they have been used to illustrate the Sustainability Resources | Arts and Culture East Devon:
We know that arts and culture has an important role to play in addressing climate change. We use culture and creativity to enhance, inspire and engage people, to support our goal of carbon neutrality by 2040 and help mitigate against the threats of climate change on our communities.
As one commentator notes:
How wonderful! The ‘Arts & Culture East Devon’ page looking at decarbonising events has illustrated what it’s all about with the Bicycle Ballet at last year’s Sea Fest on the Esplanade – brought to Sidmouth by the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign!
Look out for further creative endeavours from the Cycling Campaign!
