We waste a heck of a lot of food worldwide: in fact about one third of it according to the FAO.

In less developed countries nearly all of the fruit and vegetables waste happens before they even reach the shops or markets. In more developed countries still more than half of waste happens before purchase.

Do good save food poster this is a handy reminder to check our behaviour. ‘In medium and high-income countries food is wasted and lost mainly at later stages in the supply chain. Differing from the situation in developing countries, the behaviour of consumers plays a huge part in industrialized countries.’
