Earlier this year, yet another planning application for the Knowle was rejected; barely a month later it was tweaked. Very few could see the difference, including the VGS in its submission [in full here]; and so after a ‘marathon debate’, the major Sidmouth retirement scheme was rejected again.
McCarthy Stone’s Sidmouth designs are on their website, as well as on the District Council’s under 24/0263/MFUL. The developer does not, however, suggest we try and spot the difference between the earlier application and the latest plans; but the VGS does:

The developers have since launched an appeal with the planning inspectorate – giving until the middle of August an opportunity for anyone to comment further.
According to further notification, available below, further written comment can be sent to the Inspector via the District Council’s planning appeals office – by 14th October – although any comments on the merits of the proposal should have been submitted earlier.
The actual hearing will be held at Kennaway House on 5th November.
