It’s that time of year again, with the Town Council & Town Assembly (7 Apr 2025) of Sidmouth Town Council meeting up for their yearly look back and look forward.
Firstly, there is the Annual Town Assembly:
Sidmouth Town Council offers a very warm welcome to all residents in the Sid Valley area to attend this Annual Town Assembly meeting where reports of the Town Council’s work will be received, with the opportunity for residents to raise any general concerns/issues and ask questions regarding the work of the Town Council.
This will include reports from the chairs of the town’s committees, plus presentations from invited groups.
One such presentation will be from the Vision Group for Sidmouth – 20 years on since the group was initiated at the 2005 Sidmouth Town Assembly: more on that anon!
And the two other presentations will be from the Sidmouth Jazz & Blues Festival and the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
There will hopefully be time for questions from councillors and the public!
As for this month’s Town Council meeting, which will follow on, there will be the usual business, plus a point for discussion:
Devon County & East Devon District Council Event Advertising Policy (Signs & Banners)
Members are asked to consider reflecting on Devon County Council and East Devon District Council’s policies regarding the use of signage for the advertising of events and make any recommendations regarding their operation.
Should be an interesting debate!
