Sidmouth (South) ward

Bob Weeks

.

Bob runs the Stowford Community Centre and is also the owner of Sid Valley Radio. After spending 18 years in the military Bob left the Army to work in Computing for Credit Suisse, JP Morgan, UBS and HP in Software Engineering, Cryptology and Network design.

After leaving the industry Bob moved to Sidmouth with the desire to help set up an online radio station covering the Sid Valley using local presenters and local talent; in which he has been extremely successful. Bob has been working with the local schools, offering training to young 14+ students in broadcasting, hopefully giving them a foothold in the broadcasting industry.

Bob is a skilled Jazz and Blues musician having headlined at the Ealing Blues festival and for many years toured around the local jazz and blues venues on Hammond Organ.

Bob is not standing for a political party and is standing for the Sidmouth Town Council to help Sidmouth in maintaining its idyllic identity. He has also refused to put leaflets through doors which end up straight away in recycling.

The main issues faced when campaigning are residents concerned with regards to roads, local parking and local shopping which he is committed to find a solution for.
