This year, there were no contested places at all: Town Council elections 4th May: uncontested – Vision Group for Sidmouth

This represented a very sad day for local democracy and I’m very anxious to ensure that the same thing doesn’t happen again.

The new Election process for the three wards of Sidmouth Town Council where no nominations were received for 4 May has begun.
Below you can find the Notice of Election, Election Timetable and Nomination Packs.
Please note that nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Honiton, EX14 1EJ on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Thursday, 25th May 2023.
