With thanks to the chair who is stepping down
.
The latest newsletter from the VGS and the subsequent piece in the Herald announced this week that the Vision Group for Sidmouth chair Ian Gregory is stepping down:
Firstly, the news from the VGS is that we must bid farewell to our chair Ian Gregory. After two years in the role, Ian has been increasingly taken up by his other work at the Toy Museum and the Chamber, and so will not be standing for re-election at the forthcoming AGM. As Ian says, “It has been a privilege to chair the VGS and I particularly enjoyed the awards presentation and hustings events. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to undertake the role.”
Ian will be formally stepping down at the VGS AGM – to be held at the Leigh Browne Room of the Dissenter’s (opposite the hospital) at 7pm on Wednesday 20th November. The meeting is free and open to all members.
The AGM will consider reports from officers and project leads – and will open discussion to the floor on any issues covered by the VGS news pages and website over the last 12 months.
If anyone would like to stand for election as an officer, please get in touch with the secretary at

Here’s the poster for the event. All Welcome!
