Sid Valley Biodiversity Group: Two local experts in horticulture and conservation to give talks online
Newly launched Sid Valley Biodiversity Group – a collective dedicated to furthering knowledge of the unique ecosystems and natural habitats in the local area – is kicking things off with an online event.
A Zoom meeting is to be held tomorrow, June 16, at 3pm organised by the Vision Group for Sidmouth (VGS).
Hosted by the Science Festival’s regular Café Scientifique, there will be two talks on the theme of ‘Looking to 2030: How the Sid Valley can enhance its biodiversity over the next decade’.
The first twenty-minute talk will be given by Rupert Bannister, Horticulturalist and Lecturer at Bicton College; the second by Dr Sam Bridgewater, Head of Wildlife and Conservation at Clinton Devon Estates – both experienced local experts in the field.
The event is free and open to all, with a Q&A session at the end.
