Sidmouth slowly opens up

Measures are being brought in to make the streets of down-town Sidmouth feel safer for locals and visitors:

Boosting walking and cycling and supporting social distancing – Vision Group for Sidmouth

As the chair of the Town Council says – reported by Nub News:

“The Town Council wanted to show visitors and residents that Sidmouth is a safe town to visit whilst still permitting social distancing and that we are adapting to the current challenging situation. We have such a beautiful town and want people to know that it’s safe to visit and shop in too.”

Several streets are being pedestrianised to give a little more space:
