Early last month, there was a well-attended Sidmouth Annual Town Assembly – at which both members of the council and members of the public could pose questions about current issues and partake of several presentations – including those from the Folk Festival and the Jazz & Blues Festival – and the VGS.
There was the opportunity to look at the Vision Group for Sidmouth twenty years on, since it was at the Sidmouth Town Assembly of 2005 when the then chair of the Sid Vale Association, Rev Handel Bennett, made an impassioned declaration: that we very much needed a ‘vision for Sidmouth’.
